Our Story

Clark’s Steakhouse opened in April 2026 as a natural extension of Rich Clark’s lifelong passion for the rituals of great dining. Located in Buckhead’s Garden Hills neighborhood, the restaurant is conceived as a gathering place where energy builds as the evening unfolds.

Designed in partnership with CNNA and Z-Space Design, the space favors depth over ornament, defined by layered textures, luxurious materials, and intentional sightlines. An open kitchen and central racetrack bar introduce a sense of movement, drawing guests into the environment rather than simply surrounding them with it. At the table, the focus is on precision and restraint. Wet and dry- aged prime steaks are complemented by a rotating selection of seafood, game, and seasonal specialties that honor regional influence without leaning on nostalgia. The beverage program carries this intention forward, highlighting wines from time- honored regions alongside well-crafted cocktails built on balance and approachability. Together, the experience is confident, composed and unhurried, shaped by service both natural and unobtrusive.

MEET RICH CLARK

Rich Clark is a seasoned restaurateur whose career spans more than three decades at the heart of Atlanta’s dining community. He began his hospitality journey in 1988 as a captain at The Ritz-Carlton, where he developed a deep appreciation for gracious service, thoughtful detail, and the art of anticipating guests’ needs. His early career also included time at Buckhead’s acclaimed Brasserie Le Coze, where he worked under Maggie Le Coze, owner of the legendary Le Bernardin in New York. There, he was immersed in classical French technique and ingredient-driven cuisine, influences that continue to shape his philosophy today.

Throughout the 1990s, Clark held leadership roles across several of Atlanta’s most respected restaurants, refining his expertise in front-of-house operations and restaurant management. In 1996, he became General Manager of Atlanta Fish Market, spending six years with the influential Buckhead Life Group. In 2002, he took on the role of Managing Partner at Atlantic Seafood Co. in Alpharetta, guiding the restaurant through a period of sustained success while further honing his approach to hospitality, consistency, and operational excellence.

In 2007, Clark partnered with longtime friend Jon Schwenk to open C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar, bringing to life a shared vision for classic, fresh, and uncomplicated cuisine paired with warm, attentive service. The restaurant quickly established itself as a staple in the Atlanta dining scene. Building on that success, the C&S Oyster Bar footprint expanded with second location in Sandy Springs in 2020, followed by a third location in Brookhaven in 2023. In 2025, the original Cobb Parkway location in Vinings was relocated to a breathtaking new space at Galleria on the Park. Throughout the brand’s growth, Clark has remained deeply involved in front-of-house leadership, championing an experience defined by simplicity, quality ingredients, and a welcoming, polished atmosphere.

Clark’s marks the next chapter in Rich’s career and serves as a deeply personal expression of his life devoted to hospitality. Blending the timeless elegance of a classic New York steakhouse with the warmth and bold flavors of the American South, the restaurant reflects an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, impeccable service, and creating dining experiences that resonate long after the meal is finished.
